For the March 24th meeting - please bring your specialty - whether that is a dish to pass, a drink to chug, a dessert to spoon or whatever you might want to share with the boys. If you want to make your "dish" a bottle of your preferred spirits or some beer, we'll add that to our growing bar. Don't come empty handed - bring something, anything! We will also be celebrating milestone birthdays for two of our members (am I missing anyone else perhaps?) - Rob "The Bench Guy" Brawn turns 50 and Tony Kutis turns 40... so let's raise a toast and wish them many many more great birthdays!
Poker game is usually Texas Hold 'em, non-tournament style.
Some members have inquired, "Why meet on a Monday night?" - Well, any day of the week is tough, if we tried on a Friday or Saturday, there is always something going on and your wife or girlfriend (or both) probably has dibs on that time, so why not start the shittiest day of the week with a bit of unwinding and laughs... oh yeah, and also - once September hits, we can watch Monday Night Football! So, Mondays it is!
Meetings start promptly at 7pm and end (sort of) at 9pm - after hours may continue at the Hub with cards and general debauchery, or the crowd may mosey to another venue... whatever everyone decides.
Please bring a friend worthy of the Winter Club to the final two meetings - those that attended any of the four meetings (Jan, Feb, March or April) will be considered "Members." There will be no "open enrollment" come September... so get in where ya fit in!
These first four meetings will serve as a meet and greet so that we can all get to know each other better - business will be discussed at our September meeting, discussion regarding direction of club, etc.
Remember to only speak about Winter Club with members you know have attended prior meetings. No reason to go blab to your woman or your co-worker about anything. All stays contained within the walls of our secret headquarters!
Check back to this site for more posts and details and who knows what else... this club will evolve perpetually. The Winter Club was established to help us deal with the doldrums of winter - let's make it a cool thing to look forward to while Jack Frost has our nuts in his icy grip!
